Negative Nellies Not Needed…
I refuse to deal with negative people and complainers.
And nothing sets off my “get the heck away from me” mode like people who try to pass the blame on someone else!
For example.
Last week I was on a phone with a potential client and she proceeds to tell me how her business isn’t growing because the economy sucks…
I listened to her for about minute (which was 53 seconds longer that I normally permit myself to be exposed to such thinking) and asked her to stop that negative vomit.
But it quickly became obvious that no matter what I asked, she preferred to focus on how everything sucks and how everyone, but her, is to be blamed for it!
I finally said:
“Look, you have a choice. You can waste your time complaining about all your problems. Or you can get busy doing something about them. Which one is it?”
I also added that if she chose option one, for even another minute, that’s another minute I didn’t care to waste with her – so I was out.
Bottom line…
Negative Nellies are a pain the butt and life is just too short to put up with them!
I’m sharing this with you for three reasons:
1. Check yourself.
Are you a Negative Nelly or Ned? Stop it. Unless you enjoy living a miserable life start focusing on all the amazing things, people and opportunities that surround you!
2. Check your biz.
Are you putting up with haters, blamers, complainers and other people who are too lazy to make something of their life so they keep busy tearing others down?
Ditch them!
No mater what they offer to pay, pass them on to your competitors! (It’s the best way to put them out of business!)
3. Uplevel.
Uplevel everything – your thinking, your attitude, your standards, your life, business, customers…
And don’t tell me you can’t; your life and business are your playground – you can do whatever the heck you want.
HOW?
Find places where you can hang out with positive people who are going places and making things happen.
Like our Business Growth Navigator coaching program – a community of cool entrepreneurs building great businesses.
But don’t bother looking for it online – we keep it hidden.
WHY?
So we can only let the cool (positive) people in! ;)
Want in? Complete our simple online application and your first step is to have a chat with one of my Business Growth Advisers.
This is so very true. I learned this many years ago in my “brick and mortar” business. Even when dealing with consumers, you do not need to have complainers as clients. It is such a happier and more productive and abundant life when you deal only with positive people.
Great post.
