Three 7-Figure Business Secrets I Learned From Tony Robbins (#1 Is I Doozie!

Today’s message is vital to your business success.

Reading this will be one of the best investments of 10 minutes of your time you’ll make this year.

Because whether you’re just aiming at the 100K a year level, or – like most clients I work with – breezing through the mid to high six figures and gunning for the million dollar a year mark…

Chances are you are doing it the wrong way!

Funny thing is, once you know what I’m about to share with you, you’ll immediately recognize that all the big guns – the people you’re learning from – are doing it.

BUT no one is teaching you to do the same!

Instead, they have you blindly copying their strategies and tactics with total disregard for WHO you are, HOW you are wired and WHERE you currently are in your business.

All those things matter.

Because as Stephen Covey said: “You can’t consistently behave in a way that’s inconsistent with who you are!”

Even the most brilliant strategies can sink your ship when applied at a wrong stage of your business growth cycle.

Now, I don’t want to mislead you.

I can’t give you the entire process of how to take you from where you are to building a seven figure business in this single blog post.

That’s what the 300+ pages of tutorials and over 20 hours of training included in my ACLC course are designed to do.

What I will do, is give you three distinctions that – if you apply them – will make your business highly successful, hugely profitable, and deeply rewarding business.

Let’s say that you want to make yours a million dollar business. Whether it’s this year, or in 24 to 36 months – you have that vision for yourself. So how do you go about it?

The best way to accomplish it is to find someone who’s already done it and study what they’ve done.

Notice I didn’t say “do what they are doing”. I used past tense and the word “study”. Not “copy”. Not “do”.

This is important. And it’s one of the biggest mistakes most people make that causes them to fail. But that’s another topic. (Let me know if you’d like me to circle back to this.)

How about we use Tony Robbins to illustrate the three “million dollar” distinctions. He’s certainly not only gotten to the 7 figures, but blasted way beyond it.

 

Tony Robbins’ 7-Figure Business Secrets

1. Change the Rules.

 

Every industry has a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. Whatever dogma the gurus follow – they want to keep it this way.

WHY?

It’s profitable for them.

AND it keeps newcomers from breaking in and grabbing a chunk of the industry pie for themselves.

But this is bad news for you. Because the game (and business is a game) is rigged against you.

So what do you do when you can’t win playing by their rules? Change them!

When Tony was getting started he couldn’t practice being a hypnotherapist without a license – that’s one rule that kept him from breaking into this business.

But beyond achieving a certain level of proficiency investing more time just to get a title simply didn’t make sense to him. (Another industry dogma – without a “title” you are nothing.)

No problem…

He moved to a place where the rules were different. And he called himself something different than hypnotherapist.

The result? He stood out from the crowd and got attention.

In my business I refused (and continue to refuse) to do a number of things others say you can’t succeed without.

Things like running around the country doing workshops just to drum up some action. No thank you – I like my home office just fine. And prefer my stealth strategies that others can’t copy. ;)

Or hosting pitch-fest events. You know them well.

You get in for just $297. Or $97. Or heck – for free. It really doesn’t matter because once you are there you’ll be forking over thousands of dollars for the “must have” crap (sorry, the “continued education”) you’ll be sold every 90 minutes.

So I just set the price right, invite those who are serious, value their time (and the company they keep) and are smart enough to know that nobody is going to give them their million dollar secrets for $97, and then actually teach what I promised in the first place. What a new idea. ;)

Fewer people. Less headaches. Bigger impact. Higher profits.

Anyway, you get the point…

Whatever you think you must do to follow your industry’s “rules” – think again! And then do it your way!

 

2. Play to Your Strengths.

 

I often work with people who’ve been around in different high-end coaching programs before.

Many have had a good run at success, but “flamed out” – they couldn’t sustain it long term.

The biggest reason for it is that most gurus only know one strategy, one tactic – the one that’s working for them right now.

And they coach their students to do exactly the same and exactly the same way!

Problem is – you are not the same as someone else!

What works for them and how they go about doing it might not be a good idea for you to copy if you’re wired differently.

For example, Tony Robbins calls himself a coach.

BUT he almost never coaches people (in the traditional sense) one on one. He shines on stage – so that’s what he does!

He’s great at creating concepts and exercises that change thinking and behavior – that’s where his time goes.

What he doesn’t do is building websites and writing autoresponders.

Here’s a very practical example of how not playing to strengths can totally derail your efforts.

I help many of my clients design high-end offers and sell lucrative “big ticket” programs.

Now, this isn’t anything revolutionary. And these clients often already have high-end packages before I work with them.

But they often can’t sell them well. Until I “sprinkle a little magic” into the process.

You see, when someone isn’t wired to be a supporter. When their strength is in creating quick strategies (like me) and they don’t enjoy weekly 60-minute coaching sessions…

When that person creates an offer that includes components that drain them – they dread selling such programs!

Because while the money is good, they hate doing it! So they end up sabotaging their marketing and sales efforts and beating themselves up for their lack of success.

If you don’t know what your strengths are – figure it out.

And then structure your business around them; you’ll love the way it just flows!

 

3. Create Blockbusters.

 

Tony has taught his “Unleash the Power Within” and “Date With Destiny” programs for 20 years. Hundreds of thousands of people went through those courses. WOW!

But what do most people do? Create a program, make a few sales, and run off to create something different!

Stop the madness! Stick to one thing!

Look, after you do something once you can improve on your past performance when you do it again. If you made 10 sales before, chances are you can make 15 or 20 the next time.

It’s the marketing and selling that makes money and grows your business – not the creating!

(STOP. Re-read that!)

I love the way one of my friends summed this up. She said, “When you’re getting bored of something in your business, chances are most of your audience is just beginning to be aware that you’re doing it.” So stick with it!

 

So what should you do next?

 

The question I get asked a lot is how can someone implement these ideas in their business.

Many of my readers want to know if there’s some sort of step by step guide.

The answer is yes. I do have a step by step guide.

If you don’t have it, there are two reasons why you should invest in it now.

First, it will transform your business. It will give you clarity – WHAT you need to do. And the capability – HOW to get it done! It will even give you specific examples.

Second, every day you don’t have it and don’t use the strategies I teach in it, you’re losing 50% to 90% of the business you could be generating!

That’s five to nine out of every 10 potential clients that should be yours, but are doing business with your competitors instead. If that doesn’t fire you up – I don’t know what does!
